ENTRY INTO THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES.
1) HOW TO ENTER:
The Avon Hello Tomorrow Fund is an initiative of Avon Products, Inc. with the goal to empower women and improve society by providing individuals with cash awards that will allow them to pursue a project in one of two areas: Breast Cancer Community Service, or Breast Cancer Awareness and Outreach.

The contest begins at 12:01 Eastern Time (ET), on April 1st, 2008 (“Contest Commencement Date”). All entries must be received by the application deadline as indicated in the monthly schedule.  The contest ends in its entirety on September 30, 2008 at 11:59 PM (ET) (“Contest Closure Date”).

No purchase necessary. To enter: fill out the Application Form online at www.avon.ca  or print it and send it to Hello Tomorrow Fund c/o Avon Canada Inc. (“Contest Sponsor”), 5500 Trans-Canada Highway, Pointe-Claire Quebec, H9R 1B6.

For those without internet access, a friend or colleague can download a printable PDF file of the application on the website, or a request for paper copies of application materials can be sent to: Hello Tomorrow Fund c/o Avon Canada Inc., 5500 Trans-Canada Highway, Pointe-Claire Quebec, H9R 1B6 .

2) PRIZES: 1 of 6 $5,000 cash prizes:
6 prizes value of $5,000 each(one prize each month from April to September to a different individual)

3) SCHEDULE BY MONTH

*Submitted applications must be received by this date in order to be considered for that month.
You may only submit one (1) application (one project) per month. Applications could be considered again in subsequent months.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the contest period.

4) PROJECT GUIDELINES:

• You must demonstrate how a Hello Tomorrow Fund award will help to empower women living with Breast Cancer to have a better future.
• Your project must fall within one of the following areas:
  • Awareness & Outreach Awareness & Outreach awards must be used to educate others about Breast Cancer, and/or to share your personal experiences with Breast Cancer in order to inspire and empower other women
  • Community Service Community Service awards must be used to create a new not-for-profit Breast cancer project. Projects of almost any nature will be considered as long as the criteria are met to help women living with Breast Cancer. 
• Contestants must submit a complete application and answer all application questions, otherwise, the application will be automatically disqualified.
• Your project must demonstrate that the award will benefit individuals beyond you and your immediate family members.
• While Avon Independent Representatives are eligible to apply, submitted programs or projects must benefit the broader community as outlined in the Selection Criteria below and not be intended to enhance an Avon Sales Representative's business and therefore benefit Avon.  
• Awards will be provided in the form of a check. Award recipients are responsible for all applicable taxes (provincial, federal) as well as any other costs or expenses associated with implementing their project that exceeds the award provided.

5) SELECTION CRITERIA:
Award decisions will be based on review of the written application and how well it demonstrates:

• Contestants deep commitment to empowering women living with Breast Cancer and improving society.
• A clear and compelling case for support.
• A solid and realistic plan for spending the Hello Tomorrow Fund cash award and raising any additional funds needed to achieve your application's stated goal.
• Concrete and achievable outcomes.
• How the award will actually empower women living with Breast cancer and change our world.

The selection of the recipient by the judging organization will take place as indicated in the Schedule.

6)  HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE:
In order to be declared a winner and be able to claim a prize, each recipient will have to:

a) be reached by telephone by the Contest Sponsor within the times specified in the Schedule.   If the Contest Sponsor is not able to reach the chosen recipient and speak directly with this person after a reasonable number of attempts, then at the sole and absolute discretion of the contest judges, that recipient will be disqualified, his/her entitlement to receive a prize will be forfeited and an alternate recipient will be selected from the remaining eligible entries received.  

b) correctly answer unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question.  The skill-testing question will be administered at a mutually convenient time over the phone. 

c) fill out and sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (“Release”) and return it to the Contest Sponsor within ten (10) days following receipt of the document. 

The Release will be sent to all recipients following the notification date.   Once signed and returned to Avon, please allow 6-8 weeks following the reception of the signed Release to receive your cheque.

7) GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If the selected recipient does not respond in accordance with the contest rules or the selected recipient does not comply with the contest rules, he/she will be automatically disqualified and will not receive the prize and another recipient will be selected.  The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of selected winner to receive the notification or for the Contest Sponsor to receive a selected winner’s response.

The Contest Sponsor shall not be responsible for any entries that are lost, stolen, delayed, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, altered, illegible, incomplete or deemed irregular by Avon at its sole discretion, which are automatically void.  The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the official rules, the selection and announcement of recipients, or the distribution of any prize. 

The Contest Sponsor and each of their officers, directors, affiliates, related entities, partners, partnerships, principal, representatives, agents, licensees, sponsors, successors and assigns (i) make no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind concerning any prize, (ii) disclaim any implied warranty, and (iii) are not liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from the acceptance or use of any prize or from participation in this contest.

By entering this contest, contestants agree to be bound by these official rules and all decisions of the Contest Sponsor and the judging organization shall be final in all respects.  The contest prize is non transferable.

The Hello Tomorrow Fund is open to all legal residents of Canada, who has reached the age of majority in their Province or Territory of residence, except employees (or an immediate family or household member, whether or not related) of Avon Products, Inc or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, printers, judging organization, or advertising and promotion agencies.  

This contest is subject to all Canadian Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and void, in whole or in part where prohibited by law.

Warning: Any attempt by a contestant or any other person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.  Contestants engaging in any of the foregoing activities will be disqualified and will forfeit the any prizes won.

All entries become the property of Contest Sponsor upon receipt and will not be returned.  The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, at its option, to advertise and/or publish any recipients’ name, address, photo, likeness and voice statements, without notification and remuneration to the winners and this, via any medium.

By entering this contest, you consent to the Contest Sponsor, its promotional agencies, contest administrator, and the independent judging organization storing and using the personal information submitted through automatic entry for the purposes of administering the contest in accordance with the these official contest rules.

Subject to the jurisdiction of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Quebec, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify all or any portion of this contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purposes of helping the parties reach a settlement.
