Hello Tomorrow Fund Programs also Launching Worldwide

Montreal, Quebec (March 7, 2007) – In celebration of International Women’s Day, Avon Canada announces a unique initiative that will empower women and change our world: the Avon Hello Tomorrow Fund. Every month for six months, commencing April 2007, the Hello Tomorrow Fund will award $5,000 to a Canadian individual to help realize a program, project or idea to empower women in one of two areas: breast cancer community service or breast cancer awareness and outreach. The winners will be selected by an expert panel of judges, including Ms. Nicola Lewis - Executive Director, Canadian Breast Cancer Research Alliance (CBCRA).

“Breast cancer not only affects women living with this disease but their families and their communities as well. Avon's Hello Tomorrow Fund supports these women at the community level bringing hope for a better tomorrow...today!” said Ms. Roberta Lacey, Director Communications, Avon Canada.

About the Hello Tomorrow Fund
The Hello Tomorrow Fund will provide one $5,000 award per month to a deserving individual who will be selected from the pool of applicants by an expert panel of judges. The winning programs must present unique and achievable initiatives to empower women or girls and ultimately improve society in one of two areas:
• Breast Cancer Community Service: A non-profit project or program that helps women of all ages who are living with breast cancer to realize their dreams and improve the quality of their lives.
• Breast Cancer Awareness & Outreach: A project or program that has a positive impact on the issue of breast cancer by educating and empowering other women to make a difference.

Applications and guidelines will be available at all times as of March 8 at www.avon.ca/hellotomorrowfund. Application submission and selection of winners will be organized in a monthly cycle. One winner will be publicly announced every month through the Hello Tomorrow website beginning May 31, and profiles of the winners will be featured on the website to further share their inspiring ideas.

To further support women’s empowerment, www.avon.ca/hellotomorrowfund will also offer links to resources and organizations in the areas of the breast cancer community service and awareness and outreach. This service will provide information to all persons interested in these issues regardless of participation in the Hello Tomorrow Fund.
